As many of you will no doubt realise, the enforced closure of The Underhill Centre due to the Pandemic has had an enormous impact on the finances, since there was continuing expenditure in the form of standing charges for utilities and other essential maintenance services. For instance; it was necessary to keep the Centre heated during the winter months, albeit at a minimum temperature, to ensure there was no frost damage etc. This financial setback came at a time when there was no income from lettings and therefore the contingency reserves had to be used.
The Management Committee are looking at several ways of trying to improve the situation; one of which is to expand The 200 Club. The club was formed over 20 years ago to initially raise funds to build the Centre and subsequently to help maintain and improve facilities. The 200 Club concept has not changed but it needs your help again!
Over the years membership and new subscribers have fallen dramatically and therefore it is our intention to invite current members to consider purchasing additional numbers and also to recruit new members.

How does it work:
Each number in the monthly draw costs just £1 (with a minimum of £5) and is paid by Standing Order. Members can purchase as many numbers as they wish and three prizes are awarded each month including a 1st prize of at least £100! You may like to consider asking family, friends or neighbours if they would like to join or buying a subscription as a gift. Remember, you have a much greater chance of winning a prize in the 200 Club draw than in the National Lottery or visiting Corals! If we are successful in selling more numbers, not only will we raise necessary funds for the Centre but there will be a much bigger prize fund to be shared each month by three lucky winners.
